1952 Fender Precision Bass – One of the first 400 ever made – Tadeo Gomez Neck
$23,350.00
The coveted first version of the most popular bass of all time , the Precision Bass.
This 1952 Pbass is the perfect example of amazing craftsmanship of the 50s Fender era.
A stunning and very rare Flame maple neck shaped and signed in pencil (along with the date ) by the one and only legend , Tadeo Gomez.
The body is signed by Eddie with the date on it as well.
The volume pot has been replaced and the pickup has been custom built for this bass by orpheus pickups and sounds unreal.
The bass has a very old overspray although it looks good under the purple UV light but the lack of checking and stripped finish at the back of the neck makes me think about a refin.
Very light and resonant , it’s one of the first 400 pbass ever made and a phenomenal instrument.
Comes with a 50s leather gigbag which smells like a million gigs in the smoke of a Chicago basement.
A showcase video of this bass is available on out YouTube channel.
